Dave Sawyer is a Boston-area technologist, humorist, improviser and consultant.
As a web development consultant, Dave helps his clients build online communities and publishing solutions. He currently consults at OHO Interactive in Cambridge and also works for clients in the publishing and design industries including Adobe Systems, Bloomsbury Publishing and The Vineyard Gazette.
He has performed at comedy festivals around the U.S. including the San Francisco Improv Festival, The Chicago Improv Festival, Out of Bounds Festival (Austin), The Baltimore Improv Festival, and the Providence Improv Festival. Dave’s international festival appearances include festivals in Tokyo, Vancouver, Toronto, and the ImproSport Festival in Puerto Rico where he performed in spanish alongside competing acts from Mexico, South America, and Spain. His two-man sketch comedy show, Sawyer & Hurley, has been featured at the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Philly SketchFest, and the Boston Improv Festival.
Today, you can see him performing on Friday nights at ImprovBoston where he is a member of the Mainstage cast. He also teaches improv and comedy writing at the ImprovBoston Comedy School.
Dave is a longtime freelance web developer, a Tennessee Squire, an associate member of the Society of American Magicians, and a graduate of the Second City Conservatory.
