Richard Chisolm

Richard Chisolm is an Emmy award-winning cinematographer and filmmaker based in Baltimore. With co-producer Sheila Kinkade, he is currently directing and shooting A Recipe for Change, which documents the attempted radical transformation of Baltimore’s public school food system and the people who are trying to make it happen. The feature documentary will be released nationally later this year.

TEDxCambridge is a unique community that draws on the amazing wealth of innovation, passion and inspiration in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the greater Boston area. We organize events featuring TED.com videos and original talks from some of the city's most compelling thinkers and doers.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDx (name), where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDx (name) event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Since its launch last spring, TEDx has spread to become a global phenomenon. Hundreds of events have been organized in cities around the world, bringing together innovators in science, art, technology, entertainment and design. Their talks have been translated into dozens of languages. In Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Dhaka, and Kibera, people are gathering to celebrate the power of ideas.

With TEDxCambridge, we hope to both build community locally and contribute to the global conversation.
