55% Sold Out! (& other marketing updates)

Things are really picking up speed for TEDxCambridge. In under one month we’ve announced a whole new venue, unveiled our speaker lineup, and kicked off our first-ever live ticketing with reserved seating. Today, over 8 weeks before the spring event, we’re already 55% sold out.

Thank you to those of you who have purchased tickets and helped promote the event thus far. In addition to our extensive list of corporate partners, we have a number of dedicated marketing partners who have been essential to getting the word out around Cambridge, Boston, and beyond.

As most of you know, the TEDx series was created to extend TED’s mission of Ideas Worth Spreading. Over the past few years, we’ve watched TEDxCambridge grow in popularity, reach, and possibility. Need proof? This morning, Fall 2014 speaker Linda Hill garnered over 1 million views on TED.com. The dedication of the TEDxCambridge community to share the ideas discussed on our stage has played a large role in amplifying Linda Hill’s message. Right now, it’s also been translated into five languages… and counting.

In the weeks leading up to our June 18th event, as we coach speakers and confirm exhibitors, there is a helping role for such a strong TEDx community. Much like our marketing partners, attendees and supporters can help us promote the event. Word of mouth works wonders. Invite your friends, coworkers, neighbors, and loved ones to join the conversation we’ll be continuing in June.
